| Alumni Postcard |
Warm greetings from Windhoek, Namibia!
For our first Alumni Postcard series, which highlights post-high-school experiences of our alumni in different countries, we have Hitji Katjatenja, also known as Skrypt. Hitji attended iCSV from 2008 and graduated in 2012. Check out the postcard he sends with photos from his day-to-day in Namibia.
What are you currently doing? Tell us about your job, studies, personal projects, new opportunities, or any exciting chapter of your life you'd like to share.
I am a musician in Namibia. Thanks to the open mic sessions on Fridays haha. I am also a Radio and TV Presenter and I opened Namibia’s first FIFA Licensed football agency. I get to work in the sport I love. My goal is to send a Namibian player to Vienna to pursue a career in football and hopefully they can experience ICSV like I did.
What was your favorite memory during your time at ICSV?
Playing for the soccer team was such a joy. The trips for away games and tournaments were always fun. I particularly enjoyed the school trips to Hungary and our rivalry with VIS. I also appreciate the exposure to multiple cultures; it has helped shape a positive worldview I still carry today. Most importantly, the lifelong friendships.
What is one piece of advice you can give to the younger alumni and upcoming graduates?
The world is truly your oyster. It’s as big or as small as you make it out to me. Every single interaction can change your direction in life, good and bad. So be intentional with your interactions.
Thank you, Hitji, for giving us a glimpse into your day-to-day! We love seeing the exciting adventures that former students are doing around the world.
If you'd like to send the alumni community a digital postcard from your city, send us message at alumni@icsv.at.
